Description

The Snow Lake and Hispar La Trek is one of the most spectacular and challenging treks in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan. Snow Lake, known locally as Lukpe Lawo, is a high-altitude glacial basin at 4,877 meters (16,000 feet), surrounded by towering peaks. The Hispar La Pass, at 5,151 meters (16,896 feet), connects the Biafo Glacier with the Hispar Glacier. The area was first explored by Martin Conway in 1892, who named it Snow Lake.
